With over twenty years experience in the field of facilities management and maintenance, Simon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that is readily transferable to the real estate industry. After originally working at the New Zealand Nursery Research Centre at Massey University Palmerston North, Simon completed a Diploma in Nursery Management before returning to the NZNRC as a research technician.
In 1994, Simon joined global facilities management company PAE Incorporated. Since that time he has fulfilled a number of roles for PAE in business development, contract management, area management, transitional management and special projects.
Simon has worked with a variety of private, corporate, local authority and government agencies and has an extensive background with the New Zealand Defence Force, having worked on every NZDF site in New Zealand and performed the role of FM Contract Manager at Linton Military Camp for nine years from 2002 - 2011 and Area Manager from 2005 - 2013.
Leading teams of over one hundred staff across multiple sites, in different locations, has enabled Simon to develop strong interpersonal and communication skills and his considerable involvement in tendering and winning new contracts, along with renegotiating existing contracts, over the last fifteen years, have honed his negotiation and partnering abilities.
Simon is motivated, focussed and customer orientated. His commitment and loyalty towards his clients is at the forefront of his decision making and his understanding of getting ‘value for money’ provides a solid platform when making the most important of decisions. His responsiveness, work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile see’s regular return business from his network of clients.
